Horacio M. Agüeros, MD, is a board certified physician with a long standing commitment to patient centered care. With more than two decades of experience serving a diverse community, Dr. Agüeros enjoys developing long term relationships with patients and their families. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is dedicated to meeting each of his patients’ needs and delivering high-quality, compassionate, and holistic primary care.
Education and experience:
- Earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he was a Kempner Scholarship recipient.
- Completed his Family Medicine residency at Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
- Holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, graduating cum laude as an Honors Program Scholar.
- Served as the owner and practicing physician of Clínica Siete Family Practice in Austin, Texas for more than two decades.
- Practiced as a physician in a value-based care organization, continuing his focus on preventive care and chronic disease management.
- Member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Medical Association, and the Travis County Medical Society.
Dr. Agüeros values the opportunity to care for patients in an environment where he treats the whole person, not just a patient or numbers on a lab report. He is motivated by Suvida’s mission to improve the quality of life for patients, their families, and their communities. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, gardening, and collecting and repairing watches.
