Lizette Vela, NP-C

Lizette Vela, NP-C, is a compassionate Nurse Practitioner whose work in value based primary care reflects Suvida’s patient-centered and culturally responsive approach. Fluent in English and Spanish, Lizette prioritizes communication and partnership so that patients feel seen and supported in their health journey. She fosters strong, trust-based relationships that make care collaborative and effective for every patient.

Education and experience:

• Earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, graduating magna cum laude.
• Completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, graduating cum laude.
• Gained extensive experience across primary care, intensive care, vascular access, and interventional radiology.

Lizette believes that strong relationships are the foundation of great care and that patients do best when they are partners in their own health. She feels grateful to serve her community and proud to be part of the Suvida team, where she provides compassionate, patient-centered care every day. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and five cats, staying active, and reading.
