Sylvia has spent the majority of her 17-year healthcare career caring for older adults and is committed to treating every patient the same way she treats her own grandmother, who inspired her to focus on this population. She is passionate about providing patient-centered care, which is empathetic and responsive to patients’ needs, values, and preferences and involves both the patient and their family as part of the care team’s decision-making process. When she’s not in a Suvida center, you can find her out on the Tucson biking trails or crafting with her family. Sylvia earned her B.S. and M.S. in Nursing at the University of Arizona.
